Language and Literacy project

As part of our work in the nursery we have developed the Language and Literacy project for children. Having observed them for half a term at the beginning of the year, key workers identify children, who would benefit from borrowing a wide range of resource activities. They are chosen for reasons such as developing language and co-ordination or maybe help with turn taking or listening. Activities chosen by the Language and Literacy co-ordinator are matched to each child’s needs and include games, puzzles, tapes and lotto games. There are currently eight families using the project each week.
